What type of Identification is required to purchase spirits from one of your stores?

We accept Valid Driver’s License from Any State an Valid Identification Card from any state a current Passport OR a Valid Military Identification Card. All forms of ID are subject to electronic validation using the Intellicheck Ageid scanners. No data is stored from this process.

What if I have a Valid form of Identification, but someone who entered the store with me does not? Can I just make the purchase myself?

ou may not. Our staff will not sell to anyone in a party who enters our stores, unless all members have a Valid Form of Identification.

Can just the person who has identification make the purchase if I/we leave the store or do not actually pick up any merchandise?

Unfortunately, no. No purchases may be made by anyone in your party until the next business day.

What forms of payment are accepted?

All stores accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Debit Cards, Apple pay and Samsung pay.

How do I know if my local store has something in stock?

You can certainly come visit one of our in-store professionals and ask for assistance, or simply call the store nearest you. Addresses and phone numbers are listed under the Stores/Hours tab.

The History of the Orange County ABC

The Orange County ABC Board was established under Chapter 18 of the North Carolina General Statutes, and implemented by a County-wide election held February 3, 1959.

A composite Board, consisting of the Orange County Board of Commissioners, the Orange County Board of Education, and the Board of Health met. Three individuals were appointed to serve on the Orange County ABC Board with terms of three, two, and one year.

On April 17, 1979, the North Carolina General Assembly, in Session Laws 385, passed an act to expand the Orange County ABC Board from three to five members. It was also determined that the members would be appointed by the Board of Orange County Commissioners.​

The sale of mixed beverages in social establishments and restaurants was authorized by County-wide vote on September 12, 1978.
